Coincidentally, Bello was one of the two aspirants who stepped down for Alhaji Manzuma Issa to emerge as the branch’s NBA Chairman in 2016.

AbdulGaneey Bello ACIArb (UK) and Mai Akande Esq, the Doyen of Ilorin Bar were persuaded by Dr. Aliyu Salman SAN (life Bencher) to give up their aspirations at that time and offered prayers that they will all achieve their goals if they respect his advice to withdraw from the race. They obliged, and their sacrifices paid off.

Manzuma Issa Esq, was the 21st Chairman of the Ilorin branch of NBA, Mai Akande Esq became the 22nd Chairman and now AbdulGaneey Bello ACIArb (UK) is the 23rd Chairman-elect.
