He was born on July 7, 1980, into the popular Shagaya’s family. His dad, Alhaji Ganiyu Shagaya is a successful transport mogul while his mum, Hajiya Muinat Bola Shagaya is a businesswoman and a fashion enthusiast.

He had his basic education at the Federal Staff School and University Staff School, Ilorin, Kwara State. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Adesoye College Offa, Kwara State and Malvern College, Great Malvern, Worcester, England. He bagged a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics with Second Class Upper Division from University of Bradford, England.

Though born into an affluent family, Sheriff has distinguished himself as a resourceful and ingenious young man. His business acumen is sine-qua-non and everything he touches turns to gold.

As the first child of his parents, Sheriff was trained to be responsible and disciplined. He commands respect wherever he goes because he is smart and intelligent.

Fortunately, both Kashton Concepts Nigeria Ltd and Maron Oil and Gas Ltd have become reputable players in the oil and gas downstream sector, dealing mainly with the importation and distribution of petroleum products all over the nation.

Sheriff also delved into real-estate where he has made remarkable success. Kashton Homes Ltd has been involved in various real estate projects in Lagos and Abuja.

This business tycoon has through his foundation, Salman Shagaya Foundation, lifted many families out of poverty in Kwara state.

Salman Shagaya Foundation which was founded in 2014, has consistently empowered so many youths in Kwara State, supported thousands of petty business owners with the non-refundable credit facility, given widows a new lease to life, and made life worth living for the elderly in the society.
