JKLC issues 14 days ultimatum for KWSG to implement new minimum wage

The Joint Kwara Labour Congress (JKLC) has issued a 14 days ultimatum for Kwara State Government (KWSG) to implement the N30,000 minimum wage.

The JKLC took this stand in a resolution adopted at the end of the Congress of The Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and the Joint Negotiating Council (JNC-TUS) held in Ilorin at the State Council Secretariat of NLC on Monday.

The JKLC accused the state government of refusing to implement the New Minimum Wage after an agreement had been reached to that effect.

It also condemned the non-payment of COVID-19 allowance to the health workers at the frontline of the battle against COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
