
EndSARS Protest: President Buhari breaks silence
President Muhammadu Buhari breaks silence on the menace of SARS/police brutality in the country, calls for investigation into the killing of an unarmed protester, Jimoh Isiaka by officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The president made this call in a video posted on his Twitter handle, @MBuhari, on Monday, October 12, 2020.
President Buhari said, amongst other things, that: “The disbanding of SARS is only the first step in our commitment to extensive police reforms in order to ensure that the primary duty of the police and other law enforcement agencies remains the protection of lives and livelihood of our people.”

Meanwhile, the #EndSARS protest has gathered momentum across the country despite the declaration by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, that the unit has been dissolved.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is billed to meet with popular Nigerian musician, Davido today to dialogue on the best way to address the concerns of protesters.
