Seyi Makinde sets aside N1 billion for MSMEs, victims of injustice

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has set aside the sum of N1 billion for Micro, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (MSMEs) and victims of injustice in the state.

The Governor disclosed this during a meeting with traditional rulers, caretaker chairmen of local government and local council development areas and clerics on Monday.

According to him, N500 million has been set aside for MSMEs and another N500 million Compensation Fund has been earmarked for victims of injustice.

Gov Makinde noted that as part of the efforts of his administration to end police brutality and other injustices in the state, a  judicial panel will be inaugurated within a week.

He said that steps are being taken to employ 5,000 youths in government agency schemes in the next few months.

He added that the fifth phase of palliatives’ distribution will take place by the end of the week.
