Seun Kuti revives late father’s Movement Of The People

Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has revived his late father’s The Movement Of The People in a bid to call for better governance in the country.

During the unveiling ceremony which took place at the Kalakuta Museum in Ikeja, Lagos State, on Tuesday, Seun Kuti disclosed that the days in which members of his family were being harassed by security operatives appear to have returned.

He said the Movement is a “political resistance to the tyranny of this oppressive regime”.

Seun vowed to mobilise citizens to rise and defend their rights under the aegis of the revived movement.

This is coming as the Lagos State Government aborted plans by Seun Kuti to convene a meeting tagged: Mass Meeting #EndSARS Movement, Lessons and Tasks.

The meeting which was scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2020, was cancelled due to threats by the government to shut down the African Shrine, Seun Kuti disclosed in a post on his official Instagram page on Monday.
