
APC extends tenure of caretaker committee by 6 months
The National Executive Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday extended the tenure of the party’s caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee led by Governor Mai Buni by six months.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the committee attended by President, Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and other party stalwarts
Speaking with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai disclosed that the APC has approved the expulsion of the former National Vice Chairman of the party, South-South, Mr Hilliard Eta, for his failure to withdraw the court case instituted against the caretaker committee.
The governor added that the NEC of the party has also dissolved all states, zonal, and national party structures.
