The Caucus for Progressive Change, All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwara State on Thursday, implored the former chairman of the party, Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa to accept without further delay, the position of Commissioner in the State.
The caucus in a statement released by its acting secretary, Mallam Ganiyu Zakaryah said: “The national secretariat of the party had made avenue for peace by not leaving the former chair in the cold.
“The olive branch extended by the national secretariat to allow the former chairman serve in the state cabinet is a welcome development. If it is all about service, Hon Bolarinwa should accept to function as a commissioner in the state executive council.
“His removal is not without a compensation. He should not allow himself to be used as a ‘fall guy’ by desperate politicians within the ruling party in the state”, the statement warned.
It continued that, “security agents must be ready to arrest and prosecute any elements posing to disrupt peace and order in the state, particularly those threatening to destabilize the party’s forthcoming membership registration exercise”.
