
Kwara South Senator commences construction of Vocational center in Omu-Aran
The Office of the senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Oyelola Ashiru, has commenced the construction of a vocational center in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government.
This project is borne out of the need to provide an avenue for youths engagement and empowerment. The facility will enable the youths to learn skills with various equipments for any desired vocation.
On completion, the vocational centre will be equipped with:
- Tailoring tools
- Hairdressing tools
- ICT tools
- Furniture tools
- Welding tools
- Carpentry tools
- Shoe Making tools
Commenting on the ongoing project, the National President of Omu-Aran Descendant Association (ODA), Rtd. Major General Olayemi Lasis Abidoye says the vocational Centre will provide employment for the teeming youths, and this will also boost the community development.
Hon. Azeez Yakubu, the youth leader of Oloohaye and also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Omuaran, commended the Distinguished Senator Ashiru for the youth oriented project, adding that it will boost youths entrepreneurial skills and make them self reliant.
The ongoing construction is a capital project facilitated by the distinguished Senator Oyelola Ashiru in 2020 budget.
