Gov. AbdulRazaq mourns Col. Ishola
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has described the death of Col. Babatunde Ishola as devastating and shocking, praying the Almighty Allah to repose the soul of the “elder statesman who worked so hard for the enthronement of the Otoge administration”.
Col. Ishola, as he was fondly called, was until his death on Wednesday a member of the Governing Board of the Kwara State University.
The press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye reads:
“The Governor received the news of the death of Col. Ishola with shock and disbelief. However, he, like other Kwarans who ever came across the elder statesman, is consoled by the fact that the retired army top brass lived well for humanity and made his remarkable contribution to the growth and development of the state.
“On behalf of his family, the people and government of Kwara State, the Governor sends his heartfelt condolences to the family of Col. Ishola, wishes them God’s comfort, and beseeches the Almighty to grant him al-jannah Firdaus.”
