KWSG Lauded for restoring cleanliness in Govt High School Adeta

The AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has been lauded for the evacuation of the refuse deposited in and outside Government High School, Adeta, Ilorin, and for restoring cleanliness to the premises.

The commendation was given by Hajia Kubrat Kehinde Issa while reacting to the indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the school for flimsy excuses of non availability of refuse bins in the area.

She lamented that the school premises had turned into refuse dumping site by some residents of the area, which deformed the beauty of the school despite the huge amount of money spent on the school by the state government.

Issa frowned at the nonchalant behaviour of some people towards government property, adding that anyone caught violating environmental rules and regulations will be arrested and handed over to the police for prosecution.

She further noted that the school is a legacy left behind by the proprietor, Alhaji AGF Abdulrazaq for the benefit of future generations and thus, must be protected and taken care of.

Issa who is an alumnus of the school advised the government to sensitize the public on proper refuse management, stressing that the security of the school should be beefed up to prevent intruders.

She called on the state government to provide more refuse bins for dumping of industrial, commercial and domestic waste across the state.

Issa also appealed to the government to create a conductive learning environment by provision of learning equipments for teachers across the state.
