Germany picks Ghana as its West-Africa center for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention

The German Government has disclosed that it has picked Ghana as the location for its West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention.

 

This was disclosed in a tweet by German Ambassador to Ghana, Christoph Retzlaff, on Thursday.

 

The tweet reads:

 

“Excellent news: Germany will support the launch of a new “German-West African Center for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention.

 

“It will be located in Ghana and be part of 8 new centres worldwide to flight global challenges.”

 

Germany’s recent move comes less a week after the co-founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey disclosed that Ghana will host the headquarters of Twitter’s operations in Africa.
