Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi, has paid a condolence visit to the Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom and a former Commissioner in the State, Alh. Raheem Adedoyin, over the death of his mother, Madam Awawu Ajibike Adedoyin.
The fidau for Madam Adedoyin, who died last friday at the Ilorin residence of Oloriewe is slated for Thursday in Ijomu Oro, Irepodun Local Government .
The deputy governor recalled the good moments he had with Madam Awawu when he visited the residence last year. He urged the children of the deceased to uphold the values abd good ideals Mama was known for. He promised to attend the Fidau as a mark of honour for Mama.
Other callers at the residence today included Oloriewe’s bosom friend and former cabinet colleague, Hon. Moshood Mustapha (MM) who flew in from Abuja today for the fidau; City Businessman, Mallam Abdulrahman Giwa; Special adviser to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Strategy, Mallam Saadu Salahudeen; his counterpart for Political Communication, Alh. Bashir Adigun; the Chairman of Kwara State College of Education, Oro, Alh. Abolarin; and APC Chieftains, Hon. Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro, Hon. Kayode Towoju, Hon. Bode Towoju, Chief Peter Fadeyi, Mrs Dorcas Opeyemi Ibikunle, Barr. Dupe Adejumo and Mrs Gbemisola Egbikuade.
Hon. Mustapha, former member of the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, Crystal Group of companies, recalled the hearty telephone discussion he had with Mama only last week. He prayed for Aljanah Firdaus for Mama.
