Primary Health Care: Ashiru Facilitates Supply of Medical Equipment Across Kwara South

The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Ashiru has facilitated the supply of medical equipment and drugs for Primary Health Care Centers across the Senatorial district.

This comes barely two months after the medical outreach in some selected Primary Health Care centers, where the remaining drugs were given to the centers after the outreach. This raised a necessity for the under equipped health centers to be furnished with medical equipments and drugs.

In his remark, Dr. Buhari Olatunde, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator, emphasized the need to promote the activities of the PHC, noting the proximity of the centers to the residents, its community participation and its prevention to treatments as well as curtailing diseases.

The location for the facility which cut across the Senatorial district are:
PHC- Araromi-Opin, Ekiti LG
PHC- Isanlu-Isin, Isin LG
PHC- Erin-Ile, Oyun LG
PHC- Offa LG
PHC- Arandun, Irepodun LG
PHC- Ekan, Oke-Ero LG
PHC- Oke-Ode, Ifelodun LG

The equipment to be supplied are,
Gynecology Bed, Baby Bed with Drip, Examination bed, surgeon stool, filling cabinets, ambubag with face masks, Generator Set, incision and drainage kit, amongst others.

The distribution is set to commence on Monday to each of the aforementioned Primary Health Care centers.
