LAUTECH Bans the Use of Cars on Campus by Students

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has banned the use of cars on campus by students.

The University authority declared its decision on the movement of vehicles in a memorandum released on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, and signed by its registrar, Dr. K. A Ogunleye.

“Vehicles owned by students are hereby banned from entering the university campus,” the memo stated.

LAUTECH also banned vehicles without registration numbers from entering the campus.

The memo added, “Roadside parking of vehicles should stop forthwith. All unauthorized vehicles parked at various positions in the University should be taken out with immediate effect, failing which University security will take appropriate action on such vehicles.

“Tinted vehicles being used by some staff and students are hereby prohibited, and learner permit must be placed on the vehicles of beginner drivers.”
