
Saraki donates N3 million for Abdulhayy Modibbo’s treatment
Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has donated the sum of N3 million for the treatment of Imam Abdulhayy Modibbo, son of Imam Ahmed, a member of the Kwara foremost media association, Association of Kwara State Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP).
Confirming the receipt of the donation, ASKOMP’s chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeeq, in a statement released on Monday, said:
“It would be recalled ASKOMP had written a letter to Saraki 48 hours ago, soliciting his support for the treatment of Imam Abdulhayy Modibbo who was diagnosed of WAARDENBURG SYNDROME – a developmental disorder which causes hearing loss, amongst other symptoms at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) when he was 2 years 7 months old.
“In swift response, The President of the Eight Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki this morning (Monday) donated the sum of Three million naira (#3,000,000) to take the total donated sum to Six million, Fifty Nine thousand naira only (#6,059,000).
“In the same vein, Alh. Olalekan Lawal aka automatic, Comr. Nura Mohammed, Abdulateef Adanla, Erubu twins and several others, have also contributed their widow’s mite.
“On behalf of ASKOMP, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bukola Saraki and indeed all other donors, we pray may God Almighty reward them all abundantly.
“With the latest development, we have approximately Four million, Five Thousand Hundred Naira only to complete the required sum of Ten million, Five hundred thousand naira only (#10,500,000), being the total fund requirement for the corrective treatment.”
