Lagos State: Sanwo-Olu Suspends Religious Activities

The Lagos State Government has rescinded its decision to reopen worship centres across the state.

It would be recalled that the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu earlier announced that Mosques will reopen on Friday, June 19, 2020, while churches will reopen on Sunday, June 21.

However, speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, June 16, Governor Sanwo-Olu said the decision to suspend reopening of religious centres is due to the rising cases of Covid-19 in the State.

He added that the suspension is indefinite.
